  7. PCUNIX/MO is a file management software package for magneto-optic (MO) disk
  8. drives in SCO UNIX based environments. PCUNIX/MO interfaces with the Adaptec
  9. series of SCSI Host Adapters. It supports magneto-optic disk drives
  10. manufactured by Ricoh, Hewlett-Packard, and Sony Corp

  12. PCUNIX/MO employs a cpio style user interface. UNIX users will find it easy to
  13. understand and use. The basic driver supports UNIX system utilities cpio, dd,
  14. and tar. The driver may also be called by user programs. The driver has a raw
  15. I/O interface, which maps directory to the system calls of
  16. open/close/read/write/ioctl

  18. PCUNIX/MO creates a media-based directory. This means that files may be located
  19. directly without a serial scan of the entire volume. Each cartridge is
  20. self-contained and protects user data from loss due to UNIX system crashes.
